Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. recently announced that the Shanghai International Trade Fair for In-store Design & Solutions (China in-store), which had been suspended for the past two years due to the national pandemic control measures, will restart in 2023. It is scheduled to be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from November 29th to December 1st, 2023!
2023 is the first year of the post-pandemic recovery. In the first quarter, China's GDP grew by 4.5% year-on-year, illustrating a strong economic rebound. The rapid recovery of contact consumption drove retail sales to increase 5.8% year-on-year. During the just-concluded May Day holiday, an astonishing 274 million people traveled and shopped. Market confidence and willingness to consume are recovering rapidly, exceeding 2019 levels. The recent boom in the consumer market has sent strong recovery signals to the retail industry. The timely return of China in-store can not only respond to the expectations of the retail industry for offline communication, but also promote rapid and high-quality development.
As the official satellite exhibition in China of EuroShop, the world's leading retail exhibition, China in-store continues to pursue EuroShop's endeavor to promote communication among global retailers. Since its launch in China in 2015, this exhibition is committed to present design-thinking based store solutions for the entire industry. It will provide more space for suppliers of high-quality store solutions to showcase their expertise (store design, props, materials, lighting, retail technology, retail marketing etc.), and bring more inspiration to the retail industry.
In addition, China in-store will continue to organize various of special programmes, including forums, awards, competitions, and other exciting activities, simultaneously along with the exhibition to enrich the visiting experience.

EuroShop RetailDesign Award China (ERDA China): ERDA China originated from EuroShop RetailDesign Award (ERDA) which is organized by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and EHI Retail Institute (EHI) since 2008. It is one of the supporting programs of EuroShop Trade Fairs, of which EHI is also one of the official sponsors. ERDA China is dedicated to crown the outstanding retail store designs in China. All entries will be assessed by 10 expert juries and 100 general juries.
Design Forum: Excellent store design breathes in new life into retail stores. This event will host well-known experts and designers who focus on store design to share exemplary cases and interact with on-site retailers to provide more design inspiration.
2023 is also a year of business transformation, with corporations getting ready for a new start. Various domestic fiscal policies, especially the central finance policy, are vigorously promoting domestic consumption and strategies to increase demand. The rapid recovery of market confidence and the upbeat momentum will provide a wide range of development opportunities to the retail industry.
