REHACARE CHINA 2023 concludes on a successful note!

The 2023 International Trade Fair for Rehabilitation and Care (REHACARE CHINA), being introduced to China for the first time and organized by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., concluded successfully at the Suzhou International Expo Center on 25th August 2023!

This exhibition serves as a grand event for technology display and communication within the industry. Nearly a hundred well-known domestic and foreign rehabilitation equipment manufacturers put up an extensive display of the latest rehabilitation equipment and technical solutions ranging from travel and daily assistive devices, communication and information assistance, sports rehabilitation to intelligent assistance systems. The exhibition not only showcased products, technologies, and academic forums, but also rich, colorful, and interactive activities for people with disabilities, which enabled visitors to accomplish a fruitful business trip through visits, communication, learning, and entertainment. A total of 9,215 visitors participated in the exhibition (including Medical Fair China).

Mr. Kang Shaoyong, Chairman of the Sports Rehabilitation Industry Alliance and Vice Chairman of the Sports Medicine and Sports Rehabilitation Committee of China Non Public Medical Association validated the success of this exhibition. In the past, we were reliant on imports for precision manufacturing and high-precision machinery, but the level of domestic precision machining technology displayed during this exhibition is world-class, which has completely changed my perception. Two thematic exhibition areas presented cutting-edge technology and products.

In order to meet the growing and multi-level rehabilitation needs of the market, REHACARE CHINA 2023 set up the intelligent rehabilitation zone and the hearing and speech rehabilitation zone, bringing together nearly a hundred products on display. The intelligent rehabilitation zone showcased intelligent bionic hands, intelligent prosthetics, lower limb exoskeleton rehabilitation systems, intelligent gait aids, intelligent nursing robots, high-end customized wheelchairs, intelligent electric wheelchairs, and other intelligent assistive products. The hearing and speech rehabilitation zone displayed the latest hearing impairment rehabilitation equipment such as ear bone conduction hearing aids, hearing aid testers, audio analyzers, and intelligent 3D rehabilitation systems. These latest assistive products, equipment and rehabilitation technologies help people with disabilities and other impairments to recover better, travel independently and participate in social activities.

Mr. Li Gang, Domestic Director of 3D Medicine, iSun3D, said: "As its debut in China, REHACARE CHINA has optimal traffic, with good number and quality of visitors. I hope that the exhibition will create more values for fellow exhibitors and visitors in the industry, so that both could benefit from the event."

A series of Ability Carnival activities achieved a good success

With the mission of "Driving inclusion", REHACARE CHINA makes every effort to promote the in-depth integration of people with disabilities into society. During the exhibition, the "Craftsmanship" public welfare platform, jointly launched by the organizers and Jinchang Public Welfare Service Center, encouraged and helped people with disabilities to become more independent. By holding various activities such as sports, training, and experience sharing, it calls on society to jointly eliminate obstacles and realize greater integration of people with disability. People with disabilities participated in a series of meaningful and lively experiential activities, such as wheelchair obstacle races, sign language activities for people with hearing impairments, and dark walking experience.

Ms. Yao Fang, Vice-Chairman of Jinshan Association for Disabilities, and the gold medalist in foil fencing and épée at the 2012 London Paralympic Games said, "Thanks to REHACARE CHINA for providing people with disabilities with such a good platform, enabling them to learn more about the latest products and innovative technologies. I hope that through this exhibition, more people will be able to arouse greater attention to the rights and interests of people with disabilities, promote social inclusiveness and integration, and enable everyone to enjoy equal opportunities and rights."

Ms. Liu Zhiying, Chairman of Suzhou Gusu District Association for Disabilities said: "The exhibition is very attractive to us. The organizers are very considerate and have done a great job in every aspect. During the visit, I was very impressed with the wheelchairs, especially the electric wheelchairs. The exhibition is very helpful to my work, as I could understand and deliberate with my friends how to choose a wheelchair for people with lower limb disabilities. My goal of visiting the exhibition was fulfilled.”

Ms. Xie Lu is an art practitioner and a member of the Shanghai Listening Friends Group. After her visit, she said: "The exhibition was very good. People can experience the effects of different rehabilitation equipment on site. This interactive experience not only increases the sense of participation and interests within the deaf community, but also enables a more intuitive understanding of the rehabilitation effect. In addition, the improved use of assistive devices can help many hearing-impaired groups to mingle in society and get jobs without barriers. They have now become a valuable resource for social development, allowing people with disabilities to integrate into society and live with dignity. In addition to the exhibition, REHACARE CHINA 2023 also held 28 high-quality professional forums and academic seminars during the exhibition. Experts and scholars from the field of domestic rehabilitation medicine gathered together to conduct in-depth discussions on the future prospects of intelligent rehabilitation technologies, standardized treatment of adolescent scoliosis, hearing impairment prevention and rehabilitation, sports medicine and rehabilitation, etc., in order to promote China's rehabilitation industry development.
