The inaugural Organic Festa Asia (OFA) 2025, supported by IFOAM-Organics Asia and organized by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, concluded successfully at SNIEC (Shanghai New International Expo Centre). Held from September 3–5, the show brought together 234 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions across a 7,500-square-meter exhibition space, attracting nearly 10,000 attendees.
Positioned as a comprehensive platform “from field to table,” OFA 2025 showcased the vitality of Asia’s growing organic market. Through precise business matching, international participation, immersive experiences, and thought leadership, the exhibition won widespread acclaim from exhibitors, distributors, policymakers, and industry experts.
Strong Voices from Industry Leaders
Ms. Evian Gu, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, remarked:
“The debut of OFA delivered results that exceeded expectations. The volume of on-site transactions and partnerships far surpassed forecasts, proving both the commercial value of OFA and the healthy development of the organic ecosystem. Today’s success is only the starting point—we aim to grow OFA into a vital gateway for the Asian organic industry to reach the global market.”
Mr. Mathew John, President of IFOAM Asia, emphasized:
“The success of OFA highlights the cohesion of Asia’s organic sector and the vast potential of the Chinese market. Organic is not just a farming method; it is a global language of sustainability.”
Six Highlights Defining OFA 2025
Over 100 leading distributors, including Ole’, Dingdong Maicai, and Origin Diary, engaged in targeted business matchmaking. Live-streaming sales on Douyin and Kuaishou achieved single-session revenues exceeding 1 million yuan, setting new records for organic product exhibitions.
Four international pavilions (Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Korea) and six government delegations from across China introduced regional specialties such as Yunnan coffee, Xichong organic kiwis, and Hebei organic grains.
The “Sustainable Fashion Zone” and “Vitality Aesthetics Space” provided immersive experiences linking organic living with clothing, food, and lifestyle. Over 3,000 visitors engaged, with dwell times far exceeding traditional exhibition averages.
More than 50 forums and conferences brought together 70+ experts, including representatives from the French and New Zealand consulates. Forum participation surpassed 2,000 on-site attendees and 150,000 live-stream viewers.
The inaugural awards recognized 46 outstanding enterprises across six categories, with over 1,000 participants at the ceremony. Winners were commended for innovation, sustainability, and industry leadership.
Extensive coverage by People’s Daily Online, Sohu, NetEase, Sina, and trending hashtags like #亚洲有机展# on Weibo and Douyin generated over 10 million impressions, amplifying the voice of the organic industry.
Looking Ahead
OFA 2025 showcased how the organic industry is becoming more youthful, modern, business-ready, and globally connected. By integrating organic values into everyday life and promoting international collaboration, OFA sets a benchmark for future industry growth.
