China Med 2010 was Successfully Concluded in Beijing, China

The 22nd International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition (hereinafter referring to China Med 2010 as follows) to close at a high note on March 28, 2010 in China National Convention Center, Beijing,China. The three-day exhibition embraced 500 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions all over the world with a total exhibiting space amounting 30,000 sqm. The total trade visitor number even recorded 26,518.

During three days, delighted mood of participants with content smile, abundant orders placed and elevated atmosphere in the exhibiting halls are to witness the grand event in Chinese medical instrument and equipment industry. China Med 2010 is jointly organized by the Health Department of General Logistics Department of Chinese People's Liberaton Army, China World Trade Center Co., Ltd., Hui Tong Xingye International Exhibition (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd. In addition to the six showcasing zones such as medical imaging, in vitro diagnostics, medical application information, medical consumables, orthopedics and hospital building, the new "Military Medical Equipment Zone" showcased the cutting-edged high-tech and products, as well as their important roles in the fields of worldwide military, and the Emergency Disaster Relief

During the China Med 2010 opening banquet, Mr. Zhang Yanling, the Minister of PLA General Logistics Health Department moderated the event and addressed with warm compliment on the encouraging achievement of China Med 2010 on the first day.

Mr. Liao Xilong, CMC member, the Minister of the General Logistics Department, Chinese People's Liberation Army, General of the Army and Mr. Zhang Yanling, the Minister of PLA General Logistics Health Department paid a visit to China Med 2010. They toured the booths and had nice talks with exhibitors. Moreover, buyers from the army and medical organizations around China and relevant personnel from the government and media, etc. attended this exhibition. They have expanded business negotiations and extensive academic exchanges on this event.

Gathering Worldwide Renowned Exhibitors to Boost Industry Confidence


This exhibition gathered the latest medical products and technologies from 20 countries and regions such as China, Australia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Korea, the Netherlands, Canada, Czech Republic, Malaysia, the United States, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary, Israel, Italy, UK, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan region. Germany, Japan, South Korea and the United States participated in the exhibition in a form of national pavilion and brought their latest products to showcase on this exhibition. The famous companies of GE, Siemens, Philips, and Toshiba,etc showed their cutting-edged innovation products, such as CT,MR,DR,CR, and Ultrasound Diagnostic Equipment.

Moreover, exhibitors from SECA, Draeger, Ningbo Xinggaoyi Magnetism Co.,Ltd , Contec Medical System Co., Ltd and MAQUET (Shanghai) Medical Equipment Co., Ltd, all expressed their satisfactory to China Med 2009 and confidence in Chinese Medical Industry in future. Many exhibitors had received potential enquiries and orders, they were satisfied with the quality and quantity of visitors and expected to participate in the next event.

The encouraging atmosphere during China Med 2010 also implies the rapid growth and development of Chinese medical care industry and the trade players' confidence in the local industry.

This fair has seen more than 20 high-end symposiums concurring with the new products and technologies promotion and introduction conference. Academic exchange will increasingly become a major feature of China Med, with display and procurement of equipment.

It has estimated that China will become the second largest medical equipment market in the global by surpassing Japanese. To the year of 2010, the gross value of Chinese medical instrument and equipment will reach 100 billion, and taking account to 5% of the global market share, while the percentage will rise to 25% in 2050.

Launched in 1989, the annual China Med has been experiencing growth in scale and ever-increasing exhibitors. Over 200 trade buyers from the Chinese armies and local medical organizations were invited to CHINA MED2008, on which the military contributed as high as 120 million USD purchasing, 30% up compared with that in 2007. Reputed as the only international medical instruments and equipments exhibition with UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) certification in China, China Med has always been dedicating itself to building a high-end business platform for this industry with the tenet of internationalization and professionalization.
