The 11th Dongguan China Shoes‧China Shoetec Launched Today Premier Platform for Product Sourcing, Market & Fashion Trend Display


The biannual event - The 11th Dongguan China Shoes. China Shoetec incorporating China Bags Zone (Spring 2010) unveiled today (May 4) at GD Modern International Exhibition Center, Houjie, Dongguan. The 3-day show (till May 6) serves not only as an Asia's premier one-stop sourcing platform for middle-to-high end footwear, bags, materials and machinery but also a center of global trends releases.

Demonstrating Exhibitors' Creativity by Launching Trendy and Functional Products

The exhibiting area of this edition reaches 20,000sqm, accommodating about 500 exhibitors which comprise 30% new exhibitors. It is expected that 16,000 overseas and local visitors will come to visit the fair. Being an international fair focusing on both domestic and export market, Dongguan China Shoes attracted many renowned exhibitors from local and abroad such as Quality International Shenzhen Limited (Dubai based manufacturer of leather comfort shoes), DHD London Ltd. (UK based shoe design firm and consultant), Oceanic Brands (Australia based women's & men's trendy shoes) and Tatuaggi (Portugal based women fashion shoes), etc.

Since its inauguration in 2003, Dongguan China Shoes receives staunch support from numerous old exhibitors. These include Guangzhou Isca Shoes Co., Ltd., Hua Shen Shoes Co., Ltd., Long Yuan Shoes Co., Ltd., Saintfavour Enterprise Co., Limited, Peninsula International Corp. Ltd., Best Future Enterprises Limited, Turbo Shoe Manufactory Ltd., Sunbo (H.K.) Ltd., CPJ Ltd., etc. Many of them are launching new products at the fair. Peninsula International showcases its new energy-saving footwear – "Pen Walking" specially in this edition. The unique curved sole design helps to control the activities from toe to heal, so that we can save more energy and feel more comfortable when walking. Another exhibitor Lead Style Ltd launches its agent brand "Sanük", which emphasizes not only its design but also its functionality, in accordance with the ergonomic comfort design for foot as well as the characteristics of lightweight and handmade. Brand building is now an essential element to make a company success. Hence, new exhibitors like Dongguan Upchain Trading Co. Ltd. launches men's leather shoe brand "Tie San Dao" while CPJ Ltd. promotes its leather handbag brand "Charming Pop" in this fair.

Apart from shoes manufacturers and traders, over 100 accessories & materials exhibitors can also be found at the show. Macneill Worldwide Pacific Ltd. (US company) makes its debut in Dongguan China Shoes, promoting the shoe spikes brand called "Champ" together with its technology. The show also accommodates other well-known exhibitors like Dongguan City Hongqing Leather Product Co. Ltd., Dongguan Libang (Lifa) Synthetic Leather Co. Ltd., Konica Minolta (China) Investment Ltd., Hong Li Leather Co. Ltd., Top Reliable Industries Limited and more.

For machineries exhibitors, Chung-Mei (H.K.) Machinery Co. Ltd., Yili Shoe Machine Limited, Itta CNC Technology (G.Z.) Limited, Dongguan Guan Yang Sewing Machine Co. Ltd., Youli Machinery Plant can be found at the fairground, displaying the application of shoes and bags manufacturing and testing equipment.

Releasing the Newest Global Trends

Another highlight of this edition is the market & fashion trend display. Ms. Elaine Tam, Product Manager of WGSN presents "Future Style: Global Trend Directions AW10/11 & Trend Futures SS11" on May 4 (2:30pm – 3:30pm), providing perceptible insight on 2011 trend forecast of shoes and bags. Ms. Maryann Wong, Director of Sales & Marketing, Fashion & Home of Pantone LLC and Ms. Carol Lai, General Manager China Region of WLH International Ltd. will also make presentations on "Color Trend: Symmetry – A Timely Point of Focus Leading to Beautiful Expressions for Spring / Summer 2011" and "Materials Forecast: Material Trend for Spring / Summer 2011" respectively on May 4 (2:00pm – 4:15pm). Pantone® will bring the audiences to a mysterious world of symmetry for spring / summer 2011 and provides consulting services on colors at its booth; while WLH will share the materials trends and safety regulations of 3 major market – Europe, US and China.

In addition, the newest fashion show video of GDS 2010 (Spring), which was just closed in March, is being played exclusively at the 11th Dongguan China Shoes. Visitors can grasp the trend forecast on 2010/2011 International A/W fashion with subjects "Trend Show for 2010/2011 Autumn Winter", "Upper Style – Louis MMXI", "Wellness – Easy to Go" and "Urban Fashion and Kids".

To provide practical information to buyers and exhibitors and to facilitate exchange and communication within industry players, experts are invited to speak on numbers of onsite seminars. Topics include "China Creative Awakening", "REACH and Finished Products", "Quality Control on Footwear Manufacturing", "Updates on the EU's Ban on Dimethylfumarate (DMF) and REACH requirements", "E-Commerce for Enterprises", "Free Your Talent", "How to Make Your High Quality Product Stand Out in the Market", etc.

Furthermore, series of fashion shows are arranged to display the latest trends of 2010 / 2011 on shoes and bags for men, women as well as kids.

Gatherings of Professional Visitors and VIP Buyers

With diversified and extensive promotion campaigns, Dongguan China Shoes.China Shoetec is expected to attract 16,000 professional visitors to come and source for ideal products. It is recorded that buyers from over 70 countries and regions have pre-registered before the show opens, including those from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan Province, US, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, India, Australia, Canada, Vietnam, Russia and more. Renowned local and overseas brands and department stores have also confirmed their attendance, such as YueYuen, Nike, Adidas, Agnes b, Brown Shoe, Coach, Li & Fung, Ecco, Belle, Daphne, Aokang, LongHao, Li-Ning, Wal-Mart, H&M, Swire, etc.

As in previous editions, organizers endeavor to provide the best services to professional buyers. "VIP Buyer Program" was launched and selected buyers were invited by dedicated staff with fabulous privileges like onsite business matching, free hotel accommodation and transportation. Many footwear retail brands, trading companies and manufacturers including, China DongXiang, Meetal Group, Schu, Cortefiel Commercial S.A., Juho Puttonen Oy, MG Korea Co. Ltd, etc. have already joined as the VIP.

To enhance overseas buyers promotion, organizers collaborate with numbers of 4-to-5-star hotels in Dongguan like Dongguan Sheraton Hotel, Pullman Hotels and Resorts, Regal Palace Hotel, Houjie International Hotel, Dongguan Exhibition International Hotel, Haiyatt Garden Hotel, Cinese Hotel and more, to promote the show whole year round to shoes and bags buyers who come to Dongguan for sourcing by different means, including e-newsletter, ticket distribution, banner, poster, billboard, city map, etc.

The show is being held in the same period with Canton Fair. To facilitate buyers from different countries and regions to visit, numerous routes of free shuttle bus have been arranged between Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan Nancheng and the exhibition hall.
